Privacy Policy
Effective 28 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CCG IT Services Ltd ("we", "us" or "our") handles personal data when you use Solve.
1. Information we collect
We may collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication and security information, billing/customer identifiers, account preferences and support communications. We also process the website URLs you add, crawl results, audit findings, improvement-plan activity and related technical information needed to provide Solve.
Our systems may also record ordinary technical and security information such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, login activity and application/server logs.
2. How we use information
We use personal data to create and secure accounts, provide website monitoring and reports, manage trials and subscriptions, send service and crawl notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, diagnose faults, maintain records and improve the reliability and usability of Solve.
3. Legal bases
Where UK data-protection law applies, we process information where necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as securing, operating and improving Solve. Where consent is required for a particular activity, we rely on consent.
4. Payments
Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We use Stripe identifiers and subscription/payment status to operate billing and account access. Card details entered on Stripe-hosted payment pages are handled by Stripe rather than stored by Solve. Stripe processes information under its own privacy terms.
5. Website crawl data
When you add a website, Solve requests publicly accessible or authorised website resources in order to perform the audit. Crawl results and historical findings may be retained so that you can compare audits, track progress and verify fixes. Removing a website from your active projects does not necessarily erase its historical audit records.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may use service providers where necessary to host, secure, communicate, process payments or otherwise operate Solve. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing the service, maintaining audit history, meeting accounting or legal obligations, resolving disputes and protecting the service. Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including account authentication and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your account credentials and use the available security features.
9. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions and retention obligations.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully.
10. Cookies, sessions and advertising measurement
Solve uses cookies or similar browser storage that are necessary for account sessions, authentication, security and core service operation. With your consent, Solve may also load optional Meta Pixel and Google Ads measurement technologies to understand whether advertising leads to actions such as a Free Website Check or trial registration. You can decline optional advertising measurement without affecting core use of Solve.
11. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Solve develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and data-rights requests can be submitted through the Help & Support area of your Solve account. The data controller for Solve is CCG IT Services Ltd.
